Filming editing

Filming editing
Continuity

Whilst filming, continuity is key as it keeps the audience immersed in the film as it flows from shot to shot without reminding the audience that this isn't real and pulling them into this alternative world. Continuity editing is a system of cutting which is used to maintain continuous and clear narrative action by following certain rules. If they break continuity it would remind the audience that this isn't real what they're seeing on screen but simply a story acted out by people. Audiences are so familiar with these techniques they barely notice them, but it would cause confusion if they weren't present.
